Loose Leash Walking Clinic
90-Minute Clinic
$75

Teaching your dog to walk nicely on leash can be one of the most challenging and frustrating parts of training.  But we’ve put together a variety of techniques to help you and your dog master the sought-after LOOSE LEASH WALK! Join us for the Leash Manners Workshop!

During this 90 minute workshop, you will learn how to: handle the leash for best control and comfort;  condition your dog to immediately put slack in a tight leash; build handler focus so your dog pays attention to YOU and where YOU want to go; impulse control exercises to help your dog learn to reel-it-in instead of dragging you to a distraction;  and other tips and tricks to help your dog learn how to behave on leash.

WHAT TO BRING:
Equipment: This workshop will teach techniques that don’t involve pain or force in teaching your dog.  We will talk about appropriate equipment, however, bring your dog in the collar or harness you typically walk in.

Leashes should be 6 feet for best results, and ABSOLUTELY NO FLEXI-LEADS.

Food: Bring at least 2 sandwich baggies full of SOFT, yummy treats for your dog (think cheese, hotdogs, boiled chicken, free dried meets/treats like Stella & Chewy brand), etc. If you do not bring appropriate treats, you will be audit-only.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This workshop is NOT for reactivity or aggression.  Dogs must be friendly with other dogs and people,  and not lunge/bark.   If they want to pull towards other dogs or people to say hi, that’s what we’re here for and will be working on! But no aggression or reactivity.
